The Correct Method Of Studying The Holy Bible
In general, the Holy Bible is the top selling book across the world. Just come to think of it, it had existed in for nearly two thousand years. That is the Old Testament and the New Testament alone. Even before the coming of Jesus Christ, the Old Testament was in existence too among the Jews.Today, the Holy Bible is being sold by the millions worldwide . Many folks do own a copy of it. But do all the owners read the Bible everyday? Do they bring it to church when they attend church service? Truth of the matter is, only a very few read the book themselves! That's a pretty miserable thing, isn't it?
One of the reasons why folks don't read the Bible is because they find it hard to understand. Somehow, they suspect that doubtless only the non secular folk can understand it. Do we need to take up a job on theology simply to grasp God's word?
Somehow the Holy Scriptures do advocate us to study the Bible. In fact it says, observe the scriptures for ye think ye have life in them. It also says, study to show yourself approve unto God.
So you'll ask, "Where do we start our study?" There are 2 things that you can do. 1) Study it all by yourself. 2) Study under the guidance of your church leaders or students.
Sadly, studying the Bible on your own can be very tough. It is like you are groping in the darkness. Plenty of us do need the guidance of the Lord God as well as the direction of someone who already understands the Bible.But then, you might say, "There are too many Christian denominations today, who is telling the truth?" But the Bible claims, test the spirits of these Bible teachers how they match up to the Bible truths. Therefore, compare what does a specific non secular leader say with the Bible truths. Judgement is not mine to make as I am not God.
However , if you really desire to know of the Bible truths, pray that the Holy Spirit may guide you. My only prayer is, may God grant you your want to find the truth you are seeking for. When you observe the Holy Bible, do not forget to pray for the steerage of the Lord.
