The Parable of the Sower
In this parable portrayed in the book of Mathew 13, we learn of how the word of God works in us. There are four categories of people described here. The first category which I want to discuss on this article are those seeds who fall on the way side. When one hears the word of God and does not understand it, he is like the seed that falls on the way side. The evil one comes and snatches away the seed that has been planted in his heart. This person is worse off than at the beginning.How does this work? When you read the Bible or a Man of God preaches to you, this is a seed that has been sown in to your heart. That word is not supposed to just seat in there but to be practiced out. If you don’t, it will lose its power and die. When you read in the Bible about God’s healing the sick and how we only need to have faith to get our miracles, you are supposed to apply this word into your life. Most of the times what happens is that we do not know the power the word being given to us at the pulpit carries. The parable of the sower continues to say that we are like blind people who cannot see. We lack the power to understand and perceive things as they are. Today I declare a turn around in your understanding of the word of God. You shall read it and get its intended purpose in your life. It shall not die but bring forth a beautiful spring of life, healing, deliverance and hope in Jesus name.
